The only meat for iPhone owners was the faint possibility that the next iPhone update promises to stop the frequent crashes and sluggishness that Apple introduced with a rushed 2.0 release. Of course we won't be getting the promised notifications service that, to me, is the requirement for killer iPhone apps.
