Citations come alive with the SharedCopy Widget!

The SharedCopy widget allows you to

embed highlighted text and comments right off the page of the original website!

Give your readers real context

to your comments. Forget about stale blockquotes.

Keep them on your site

even when you are referring to another website's article!

Embedding is easy

1) First, get the SharedCopy bookmark

if you haven't

2) Next, annotate

a webpage and click Save

After saving, you should see a “Comments saved successfully” acknowledgement page.

3) Then, right-click on embed code

to copy the HTML code we have generated for you.

4) Finally, paste

into your blog or CMS and publish!

If your blog or CMS provide you with a “rich text or wisiwyg editor”, you'll have to switch over to the “edit html” or “source” mode before pasting.

The result will be

a display of the key points you've highlighted within the context of the original webpage. Complete with the ability to pan and navigate around in the embedded page!

Your readers can read their content without leaving your website!

Technical tidbit: the widget content is fully readable & accessible even in rss readers, mobile devices and degrades gracefully when javascript is turned off!
