rather than having the scripting support built into a Twitter client, why not just ask Twitter client authors to allow their clients to be pointed at alternate hosts that implement the Twitter APIs besides Twitter’s own servers? link »
This would allow us to implement Twitter “proxies”, so that even the most basic of Twitter clients could take advantage of all sorts of extra features and functionality that might get wrapped around those APIs. link »

By sharing more of our own thoughts and lives with the world, we contribute to the global pool of "how to live", and over time we also get contributions back from the world. Think of it as "open source living" link »
Sharing your boring thoughts and activities may seem narcissistic and self-absorbed at first (I'm still kind of embarrassed about having a blog), but there is virtue and benefit in it. link »
It also encourages us to be more accepting of others. Everyone is flawed, and the more we see that we aren't alone, the less we need to fear that truth. link »

This pattern attempts to be practical. It makes no attempt to parse URLs according to any official specification. It isn’t limited to predefined URL protocols. It should be clever about things like parentheses and trailing punctuation. link »

Disregarding the fact that you have still not paid me for work I completed earlier this year despite several assertions that you would do so, I would be delighted to spend my free time creating logos and pie charts for you based on further vague promises of future possible payment link »
Actually, you were asking me to design a logotype which would have taken me a few hours and fifteen years experience. link »
In short we can no longer trust the case insensitive nature of HTML documents - we need to assume that BOTH HTML and XML documents will be serving their content in a case sensitive nature - especially as more people start to adopt HTML 5 elements in their pages and expect some level of support in older browsers. This means that a number of selectors and DOM methods will take a performance hit as we can no longer take a case insensitive shortcut in our codebases. link »
